OUR STORY
Ian Godson, our Managing Director, first stepped foot into the industry of remedial and corrosion engineering in the mid 1980’s, has developed an undying passion for technically challenging projects, both in Australia and overseas. Studying with experts in Italy, he returned and introduced concrete Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) to Australia, a technology that had not previously been utilised to provide long term repair and protection to reinforced concrete in atmospheric conditions. Subsequent to this time, Ian has been involved in the design and installation of many such projects throughout Australia.
In 2004, with his wealth of specialist technical and practical knowledge, Ian formed Ian Godson and Associates, a company offering engineering consultancy services including the condition assessment of infrastructure, design and specification of innovative rehabilitation solutions, and the provision of quality assurance assistance during the construction phase. Thus Ian broadened the scope of our industry with his quest for new technologies that would provide improved and more creative solutions..
By 2011, the company had grown substantially with the employment of specialist materials engineers and its learnings and experiences since its inception were providing the company with endless possibilities. A name change to Infracorr Consulting Pty Ltd resulted, the name that better reflects our core practices, expertise and technical orientation, along with a move to larger premises.
With an ever growing team of specialist engineers and technicians, Infracorr has been able to undertake larger and more complex projects and meet all the challenges that they present. The name Infracorr was chosen, to reflect our core practices, expertise and technical orientation, while our values remained unchanged.
In 2016, after many years of providing specialist services to NSW remotely from the Melbourne office, Infracorr established an office in Sydney. This full time presence now provides Infracorr with the ability to service its NSW clients more rapidly and cost effectively.
Infracorr now offers extensive experience and expertise in all facets of infrastructure repair and durability on buildings, bridges, wharves and industrial structures, built from all types of materials. With a multidisciplinary team of engineers specialised in civil, mechanical, material and structural backgrounds, state-of-the-art technology (often first of its kind technology) and innovative solutions we elevate industry standards in designing for repair and protection of your assets.
